General Questions:

What is Swagly?

Swagly is an affiliate network that provides a useful and fun tagging widget to social networks that enables their users to match and tag products that are in photos with the product entries in our database. Swagly turns every individual into an affiliate and every social network into a recommendation retail store.

How does Swagly Operate and How Does It Work?

Swagly works with CPC and CPA/Referral Rate (CPA not open during beta stage). The Advertisers upload the offers and the Users identify and tag products on Publishers’ websites where the tags then generate corresponding ad links to Advertisers’ affiliate links.

Can users from countries other than the United States use Swagly?

Swaglers (Swagly Users that tag products on publishers’ websites) can be from anywhere, as long as they have a bank account in the United States or if they have an US address for us to send payments to. Advertisers (Merchants) that are able to ship to the United States or Canada are allowed, and publishers that cater to the US and Canadian crowd are also allowed. Currently, we are working to expand our influence outside of the United States and Canada. Stay tuned!

Can I change my username?

No, your username is used for all of your information and cannot be changed once set.

Why does Swagly need my email address?

We need it to notify you with changes and updates with your account.

Why does Swagly need my physical address?

We need your address for payment and billing purposes.

How does the Swagly Ad work?

The Swagly Widget is split into 2 parts. The top part of a Swagly Ad Unit is reserved for Sponsored Advertisers who have put in the highest CPC bid, while the bottom part is reserved for results that the Publishers configure (highest CTR, highest PPA, highest PPC, etc.). Swagly also uses the picture from the highest CPC bidder as the main offer picture. This is to ensure that users get both the sponsored results and the results that may be most beneficial.

What is the difference between an Advertiser, Publisher, and a User (Swagler)?

  • An advertiser is the party that is advertising or selling something through Swagly.
  • A publisher is the party that owns the website or content where the Swagly Widget is placed and is shown on.
  • A user or a Swagler is the party that tags products in publishers’ websites that results in the delivery of advertisements and information that were uploaded to Swagly by advertisers.
  • Please see illustration.

How do I update my account information?

You can update it under any of your account identities (Advertiser, Publisher, or User). If you have more than 1 identity under your account, then all of the identities share the same general account information. However, there are other information that are not shared and should be managed separately, such as payment and billing information.

How does Swagly split its revenue among Publishers and Users?

This is a secret, but we can tell you that, like all other ad/affiliate networks, we give Publishers A LOT.

How do I cancel my account?

For Advertisers:

Advertisers are required to clear up all of the outstanding charges that they have accrued up to the cancellation date. Advertisers with any outstanding charges cannot have their accounts cancelled until all payments have been collected.

To Pause Campaigns:
  • Go to Advertisers.
  • Click on Manage Campaigns.
  • Check the box next to the campaigns that you want to pause or delete.
  • Resume campaigns using the same method. NOTE: DELETED CAMPAIGNS CAN NEVER BE RESUMED OR RETRIEVED!
  • Offers can be managed in the same way.

For Publishers:

Publishers are required to remove Swagly Widget from their websites before Swagly can close down their accounts and send them the remaining revenue that they have right until the account cancellation.
