I will be the first to admit he didn’t come onto my radar until the GAP collaboration collection (I’m not in the habit of tracking, buying or affording runway anything) so it was one of those things I noticed that came and went.

Not surprisingly, the bag started showing up on the arm of Mary-Kate Olsen. Black, gold-studded, duh, seems to be her uniform. After seeing these images pop up all over the place the duffel almost became synonymous with the Olsen twins’ style in my mind and I couldn’t imagine any other way to wear it. And then of course fakes started popping up all over the place and that’s typically the end of any love/hate relationship I have with a bag.

…until today I came across a picture of Kristin Cavallari with the same bag, dressed down in her typical LA style. It reminded me again how gorgeous this bag is, but started getting me thinking if it truly is versatile enough for her to wear it the way she is in this picture.

What do you think? Is this bag too stylized for everyday wear? Has it been played out too early now that Kristin is photographed wearing it out in sunny LA summer clothes?

But recently, their stock has gone up (seriously – ANN is trading at 90% above July’s prices).

I recently went in looking for these pants (sold out), but so many other pieces caught my eye, I was flitting around and staring at stuff like an intern at Fashion Week. Banana Republic has some serious competition.

The two have joined forces once again to create the 2010 Vivienne Tam Digital Clutch. The eye-catching tech hit the runway at Tam’s Spring 2010 show during Mercedes-Benz’s Fashion Week.

According to the press release on HP’s website, “The new look in digital clutch chic marries two cultures – fashion and technology – to reflect a transformative spirit and sophisticated lifestyle. It fuses high fashion, small form factor and innovative function to take the personal computer from a necessity to a lifestyle statement for modern-day women on the go.” I don’t know about all that, but I will say that I appreciate the toned-downed aesthetics on this notebook unlike last year’s blaring pink number.

The butterfly motif on gold background is based on the classic Chinese love story concerto “Butterfly Lovers.” No word on yet on actual release date or pricing, but if the Tam 2009 netbook is any example, expect to shell out an extravagant amount of cash for a basic setup in a pretty shell.
